For a second year running, the National Ice Centre Nottingham will play host to international short track speed skating event, Starclass 2016.

The event will run from Friday, January 8 to Sunday, January, 10 and will see some of the best talent from Western Europe compete together on the ice.

Midway between their international seasons, the competition will feature Olympic squad, GB Short Track. Members of the squad are currently hard at work competing against the best skaters in the world from Canada to Sweden, Japan to Holland, but they will all be back in Nottingham for this annual event.

With British stars such as Murray Cochrane, winner of the Europa Cup 2015, this event will be a great opportunity to see the current and future Olympians in action, and even better, on home ground.

Whilst Friday will be a day for schools, Saturday and Sunday will be open to the public for all to enjoy.
