Evergreen entertainer Leo Sayer will be returning to Buxton Opera House for a concert there on Friday, September 18.

This follows his sellout performance there two years ago.

The Grammy Award winning songwriter is celebrating the release of his 14th studio album Restless Years.

More than 40 years after he stormed the charts across the globe, Leo Sayer is to tour the UK in September and October, performing his hits such as You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, Moonlighting, Just A Boy, One Man Band, When I Need You and Thunder In My Heart, alongside tracks from his current self written and produced album Restless Years.

Having achieved five worldwide No1 hits, Leo is considered one of the world’s most thrilling and entertaining live performers.

Born in West Sussex, Leo’s career started in 1972 when he first achieved success with his debut album Silverbird featuring the hit single The Show Must Go On.

The hits continued to flow with Just A Boy, One Man Band, Long Tall Glasses, Moonlighting, You Make Me Feel Like Dancing and When I Need You all achieving spectacular success on charts across the globe.

Over the last ten years, since living in Australia, Leo has not stopped working.

He continues to record, make TV appearances and perform sellout concerts on all continents.

Leo said: “I am really looking forward to being on the road again.

“Performing in theatres gives me the chance to produce a show that I’m very proud of and hope the audiences enjoy hearing the hits once more in the intimate surroundings, together with the new material of the new album Restless Years.

The musical support act on Leo’s tour will be current Radio 2 favourite, Michael Armstrong.
