The Watch will be performing their tribute to Genesis at The Flowerpot in Derby on Friday, March 14.
Hailing from Italy, the band will be focusing for the first time on the classic 1974 masterpiece album The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.
The band’s unique approach, together with excellent musicians and a vocalist considered the most Gabriel-esque ever, will allow fans to enter the story of one of the most complex concept albums of all time.
Brief snippets of narrative will help the listener unravel the mysteries at the heart of the story, something never attempted before live on stage.
Original band compositions, well known worldwide for their unique twists and turns in keeping with their progressive roots, will of course be played alongside the classics in a show not to be missed.
Then, on Saturday, March 15, you can see another top tribute band in the shape of U2UK.
This rocking show pays homage to mighty rock legends U2, from their first great success Out of Control back in the early 1980′s up to the more recent classic Moment of Surrender.
This show will transport you through an amazing slice of musical history.
U2UK are an awesome live band worthy of their reputation as arguably Europe’s leading tribute show to U2, recreating all the very best music of the last three decades with Zooropa, Pride, Where The Streets Have No Name, Mysterious Ways, One, Sunday Bloody Sunday and many, many more.
The latest in the free Acoustic Wednesdays sessions, held in the bar at the King Street-based venue, takes place on March 20.
Performing at the event will be Swamptrash with special guest Hazel Scott, serving up an evening of acoustic rock and blues.
Finally, on Thursday, March 20, the performer at The Flowerpot will be blues performers The Grainne Duffy Band.
