Young talent in classical concert

The next concert in the series of performances presented by Matlock Music will be by Concerto Grosso, on Friday, March 23.

Concerto Grosso consists of around ten young musicians from Derbyshire and Sheffield, all string players, and all students of distinguished Sheffield tutor Nina Martin.

This concert is one of the highlights of the season and is always among the most popular and enjoyable concerts organised by Matlock Music. This is a great opportunity to hear brilliant young musicians on the threshold of their careers, full of enthusiasm and eager to make their mark.

Tickets will be available at the door at a cost of £5. Under 18s are admitted free and college students and registered jobseekers pay half-price. All seats are unreserved.

The concert is at the Wheeldon Hall, Highfields School, Lumsdale, off the Chesterfield Road, Matlock, starting at 7.30pm. Further information is available from Anne Oldfield on 01629 733296 or at
