New season of fun family events and entertainment at Crich Tramway Village – hop on board now
Who doesn’t love a nostalgic ride on a vintage tram – and now there are more reasons than ever to visit Crich Tramway Village for the 2024 season.
Just pick your favourite from their wide range of events to suit all tastes and styles. For children, there’s their first ever Easter trail, as well as Dinosaur Day and a Teddy Bears Picnic. Or the rest of the family will be swinging to the Sounds of the 50s and 60s, or getting involved with the Crime at Crich murder mystery day.
During the 60th anniversary year of electric trams, there’s even a special weekend when most of their operational trams will all be running.

Easter Eggstra
March 29 - April 1
To win an Easter themed prize, help Mr Bernie Bunny to find his friends, then make rabbit ears, join in with egg rolling and meet real rabbits and animals from White Post Farm.
Seaside Fun
May 25 - 31
Enjoy the fun of the seaside with Howard Brothers Funfair, Punch and Judy and balloon modelling, plus juggling shows and a Flea Circus on select dates.
Classic Motor Bike Day
July 7
Enjoy displays of over 300 classic motorcycles and vote for your favourite at this event, run with the Vincent Owners Club. Plus live music at the bandstand during the afternoon.
Sounds of the 50s and 60s
August 10 & 11
Learn dance crazes of the Sixties and tap to the beat of live music.
Steampunk Weekend
September 7 & 8
Live music on the bandstand and entertainment. Dress as a steampunk and enjoy discounted admission!
Electric 60 Tram Weekend
September 14 & 15
Choose your favourite tram to ride at this celebration of 60 years of electric trams – most will be running.
Step into the past
There’ll be a tram running past you soon in the recreated period street, where most of the rescued buildings from around the UK have been pieced back together, brick by brick. Visit the Red Lion pub and Derby Assembly Rooms – there’s even the Bundy Clock, which was rescued from West Bromwich.
Hop on board to ride along the mile-long track, with stops at Wakebridge for the mining display, Cabmen’s shelter, Woodland Walk and Glory Mine.
Visit the Century of Trams exhibition in the Great Exhibition Hall, and the Stephenson Discovery Centre. Then see the view from the Workshop Viewing Gallery. On the Woodland Walk & Sculpture Trail, step into fun shelters and tunnels, and enjoy the outdoor games.
Dogs on a lead are also welcome and you can even take them on the lower deck of the trams.
