The village of Fritchley celebrates the festive season with the lighting of the Christmas tree on Wednesday, December 10, at 7pm.
Local playwright Tim Elgood will officially switch on the lights.
The lighting-up ceremony will be followed by carols on the Village Green, accompanied by Crich Brass and the Whatstandwell Warblers.
Santa has promised a visit too, arriving in his vintage car with sweets for the children.
Afterwards, people will be welcomed into the Village Hall for refreshments and party games, including stand up bingo.
