Plenty to enjoy at flower festival

St Peter’s Church, Edensor, in the picturesque splendour of Chatsworth Park, will be staging a flower festival, designed and executed by the renowned flower arranger Jonathan Moseley, from August 10-18

Admission is £4 on the door, with ample free parking available. There are refreshments in the church, and concerts and talks every evening there.

Saturday, August 10, 7.30pm £10: Derbyshire Delights - A Flower Demonstration by renowned NAFAS flower arranger Jonathan Moseley

Sunday, August 11 7.30pm £10: A Safari of Britain - An illustrated talk by acclaimed wildlife artist Pollyanna Pickering

Monday, August 12 7.30pm £10: Favourite plants at home and away - An illustrated talk by flower artist Lady Emma Tennant, sister to the Duke of Devonshire

Tuesday, August 13 7.30pm £10: Strike up the Band! - A concert by Bakewell Silver Band

Wednesday, August 14 7.30pm £10: A Cavalcade of Fashion - A stunning display from Notty Hornblower and her Ashbourne Hope House Costume Museum showcasing costumes from the Victorian Age through to the 1960s

Thursday, August 15 7.30pm £10: Chatsworth: A Personal View - Reminiscences from Chatsworth’s Head Housekeeper, Christine Robinson

Friday, August 16 7.30pm £10: All on a summer’s evening - A concert by Chapel-en-le-Frith Male Voice Choir

Saturday, August 17, 7.30pm £10: Steeplejack Fred - Fred Dibnah’s widow, Sheila Dibnah, presents a celebration of life with the world’s best loved steeplejack

Sunday, August 18 7pm free: Jigsaw Sound Choir -Derbyshire Delights ends with a free concert at 7pm (tickets still required)
