Why not celebrate all that’s good about womanhood this Mothering Sunday?
Isle of Woman bring raucous, sharp and witty comedy anthems, heartfelt songs and relaxed honest chat expressing life for women of a certain age to Stockport Plaza this weekend.
The three strong and individual women use stunning rich beautiful harmonies to sing about bare bones reality. Think Joan Rivers meets the Andrews Sisters or Fascinating Aida with a hint of 40s close harmony.
Whether musing about breast-feeding in the zoo, No More Page 3, raising a disabled child or the phenomenon that is Boris Johnson, they will have you laughing one moment, and crying the next.
Accompanied on the piano by yet another extraordinarily talented woman, IOW are spreading their joy throughout the UK and Ireland this spring.
The songs are all original from numerous female writers, creating an amalgamation of real women’s views on many topics from dating to career, politics, relationships, feminism and single parenthood. All seen from 3 very separate female standpoints -
It’s a feel-good, uplifting evening which will see the audience leave smiling from ear to ear.
Isle of Woman are brave, sexy, topical, glamorous and most importantly real.
The performance on Sunday, March 6, starts at 7pm and is suitable for viewers aged 14 years upwards. Tickets £22. Contact 0161 477 7779 or www.quaytickets.com
