THERE’s a strong selection of comedy names lined up to appear in the new season at Nottingham Playhouse.
The season kicked off last week with an appearance by Punt and Dennis and continues with Mark Thomas’s appearance on February 27.
On Friday, March 4, you can enjoy an evening with Angelos Epithemiou and Friends, featuring Renton Skinner’s shambling character, best known from his appearances as scorekeeper on the Reeves And Mortimer show Shooting Stars.
This is followed by rising star Micky Flanagan on Saturday, March 5, and the familiar face of the ebullient Gina Yashere on Wednesday, March 9.
Stephen K Amos is seemingly everywhere at the moment, thanks to his recent eponymous TV series, his frequent guest appearances on comedy panel shows and his latest national tour, spreading a little happiness when he arrives at the Playhouse on Friday, March 11, from 8pm.
Mock The Week stalwart Andy Parsons has one or two things he’d like to get off his chest on Sunday, April 3, from 7.30pm, while Steve Delaney’s bumbling Radio Four character Count Arthur Strong drops in on Monday, April 4, from 8pm.
Finally, Richard Herring’s tour, entitled Christ On A Bike: The Second Coming! can be seen on Wednesday, April 13, at 8pm, while award-winner Russell Kane is the star attraction on Sunday, May 1, at 7.30pm.
