Classic Dahl tale for all the family

roald Dahl’s classic tale of The BFG is still going strong at Derby Theatre with tickets available for fans of all ages to enjoy this family treat.

David Wood’s adaptation of arguably Dahl’s best loved tale runs at the venue until January 14 and aims to delight and enthral audiences this Christmas.

Late one night, Sophie is snatched from bed in the orphanage by the BFG, who takes her back to his cave in Giant Country. The BFG – the Big Friendly Giant – is a dream blowing giant who blows lovely golden dreams into the bedrooms of sleeping children.

The two soon become the best of friends, feasting together on disgusterous stinking snozzcumbers, washed down with frobscottle and making whizzpoppers together. But disastrophe strikes as the other giants are not so nice and have their sights set on their next meal, the children of England. Sophie and the BFG plan to foil them in an exciting battle against the other giants.
