Ilkeston Theatre Company has just started rehearsals for this year’s pantomime production Cinderella and is looking for people to get involved with the group.

Ilkeston Theatre Company has been performing for 25 years and has plenty going on this year, including fundraising events, celebrations and outings.

The company prides itself on being a fun social group that enjoys meeting up every week and has lots of fun putting on two or three performances a year.

There are lots of opportunities to get involved in all aspects of putting on a show: acting, singing, scenery building and painting, backstage crew, lighting, sound, costume, and people can be as involved in as much or as little as they want to.

This year’s pantomime is to be Cinderella, the classic rags-to-riches (kitchen to palace) story. a sweet-natured heroine, a prince, two ugly sisters, a fairy godmother and the occasional glass slipper.

If you would like to join, the company has just started rehearsals and meets up every Wednesday from 8pm–10pm at The Green Spire Church Hall off Wharncliffe Road, Ilkeston.
