New date for stars at Arena

Star TV performers Ant and Dec have had to reschedule three shows on their Takeaway Tour, due to unforseen circumstances.

Among the three dates affected is one at Capital FM Arena Nottingham.

The show was due to visit Capital FM Arena Nottingham on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. This has now been moved to Tuesday, September 9, 2014.

For those who have already booked to see the show, bookings have been automatically moved to the new date.

For those who already have printed tickets for the show, the tickets remain valid for the new date.

For any customers that are unable to attend the show on 9 September 2014, a full refund will be available by returning the ticket to their point of purchase – for example Ticketmaster.

For those customers who booked via Capital FM Arena Nottingham, they are advised to contact the Ticketing & Customer Services Team no later than January 31 at to arrange the refund.

Those customers who have their printed tickets and require a refund, are advised to return tickets to the following freepost address no later than January 31 to:

Tickets purchased directly from the Capital FM Arena Nottingham website or via the Arena’s Ticketing & Customer Services Team will be processed and refunded within two weeks of receipt.

n The world famous Harlem Globetrotters will take fan interaction to a new level when the 2014 “Fans Rule” World Tour comes to the UK, stopping off at Capital FM Arena Nottingham on Sunday April 13, 2014.

Online voting is now open at, where all fans can choose which new game-changing rules they want to see.

The Globetrotters were the first organisation in sports and entertainment to let fans vote on rules when the team introduced the concept last year. Since the fan response was so overwhelming, the team is doing it again – but with a major twist.

The 2014 online ballot includes three never-before-seen revolutionary rules:

Hot Hand Jersey – Both teams will have a “Hot Hand Jersey” they can pass amongst each other. The player who is wearing this jersey will receive double points on made baskets.

Make or Miss – The quarter begins with only two players on the court for each team. When a team scores, a teammate may enter the game. When they miss, the player missing the shot must leave the court, leaving his or her teammates shorthanded.

n Children’s TV legend Sooty is to embark on a UK tour early next year, including a date at Nottingham Arts Theatre on February 21.

Celebrating his 65th year in showbusiness Sooty, the nation’s favourite bear, will be joined by his canine chum Sweep, panda friend Soo and host Richard Cadell, for The Sooty Show Live.
