There is nothing like a dame ... and there is no other dame quite like the wonderfully outrageous Ceri Dupree, who plays the role of Queen Passionella in Sleeping Beauty.

Theatre Royal audiences will never have seen such a colourful wardrobe of costumes.

Ceri Dupree, named the most glamorous dame in the world, has been delighting audiences worldwide for over 25 years. His unique talents have taken him through musical theatre, pantomime, summer season, television and cabaret and his extensive repertoire of theatre shows include Hello Dolly!, Rock Hard, Hot Stuff, The Ultimate Hen Party and The Rocky Horror Show.

Stage and television actress, Lucy Evans, best known for her role as Lauren Wilson in Coronation Street, will play the role of Princess Beauty.

Michael Harrison, managing director of Qdos Pantomimes and executive producer of Sleeping Beauty, said: “We are thrilled that Joe Pasquale, who has smashed pantomime box office records wherever he has performed, will be leading the cast of the Theatre Royal’s pantomime.

“Joe’s high-energy comedy combined with Ceri’s kaleidoscopic wardrobe, a superb cast and brand-new 3D special effects mean that no one will dare fall asleep during this production of Sleeping Beauty!”

Sleeping Beauty runs at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal from December 10 to January 15. Tickets can be booked on 0115 989 5555.
