Members of staff from Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are putting on a performance of Cinderella for patients at the Radbourne Unit, Derby, on Friday, December .
This is the second year this group of staff has put on a pantomime and the ‘Radbourne Players’ have been rehearsing since October to ensure this panto is the best yet.
Individual staff and departments from around the Trust have also been assisting with costumes, programmes and props.
Clive Westnedge, healthcare assistant, and also one of the ‘Ugly Sisters’ said: “We’re all really excited about the performance. We hope the patients like what we do, and find the story engaging and funny to help get them into the Christmas spirit.
“The panto has brought together a variety of staff groups from both the clinical and corporate sides of the Trust and has given us the opportunity to work more closely together to really enhance the patient experience.”
