A UNIQUE theatrical and musical event comes to The George Hotel, Tideswell, on September 30 and October 1 which aims to have you totally engrossed in a story with a difference.
Cartoon De Salvo, the critically-acclaimed, London-based theatre company, comes to the village with Pub Rock, the tale of a band that has been together since school playing all the classic songs.
But have they been together just a little too long? Played out in real time – as if it was an actual gig – the play is about what it is like to be a struggling musician as well as a tale about loyalty, the stresses of a life on the road and fear of change. It’s funny and thought-provoking too, with familiar songs.
It can be seen upstairs at The George Hotel, Tideswell, from 7.30pm on both nights. Tickets are £9 and £7 (concessions) from Tideswell Post Office and Litton Stores. You can make bookings on firstname.lastname@example.org and 01298 871063.
