Season reaches thrilling ending

Tabs Productions and the Theatre Royal Nottingham present the final offering in this year’s Colin McIntyre Classic Thriller Season.

Stage Struck, by Simon Gray, can be seen at the Theatre Royal until Saturday.

The company has been delighted to return for venue’s big 150th birthday year.

Karen Henson, co-producer for Tabs Productions, has been returning to the Theatre Royal with the Colin McIntyre Classic Thriller Season since the 1980s, as have many of the actors who have become familiar faces in Nottingham each summer.

Karen is delighted that the Thriller Company have been a part of such a special year.

“We’ve been part of the Colin McIntyre Classic Thriller Season over four different decades now and the theatre is definitely wearing better than we are! There’s nothing like standing on that stage and looking out at the wonderful auditorium. There’s a warmth about the whole theatre, especially from the staff, who from upstairs to downstairs and even in the lady’s parlour, make you feel an important part of an awfully big adventure. Many, many happy returns, Theatre Royal! Long may you reign.”

In Stage Struck, former stage manager, Robert Simon, keeps house for his West End actress wife while amusing himself with numerous extramarital affairs.

When his world is turned upside down by the clumsy intervention of a psychiatrist, he sets on a course of hideous revenge against all those he feels have caused him pain.
