Stagefright Comedy Club returns to The Fishpond in Matlock Bath on Wednesday, August 21, for its latest evening of mirthmaking.
On the bill will be Dave Hadingham, Ben Davids, Ross Brierley, plus your regular compere Anthony J Brown.
As seen on Channel 4’s Gas and Comedy Central’s The Comedy Store, Dave Hadingham is a sheer bulldog of a comedian, and the animal references don’t stop there.
In an affectionately snarling set, Dave is not afraid to make you laugh about any topic you care to think of. Combining his demented tendencies with charm, naiveté and warm wit, this gravel-voiced gagster is a Comedy Store regular and a touring act all over the globe.
Intense, anecdotal and effortlessly entertaining, David keeps audiences hooked right up to the last punchline as he presents his unique and often deliciously warped view of everyday life.
Fresh from an acclaimed stint in the prestigious Big Value Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Fringe, published author and wonderfully witty wordsmith Ben Davids (above left) appeared at the Rock With Laughter show at the LG Arena in Birmingham, where he performed in front of 20,000 people over two nights with his finely honed and gently acidic humour.
Ross Brierley (above right) is infused with infectious energy, his confident delivery complimented by an improvised style and well wrought gags.
He was a finalist in the Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year competition.
Clad in a sartorially edifying manner, like a dapper and dandy funeral director, compete Anthony J Brown cuts a unique on-stage presence with humour blacker than a raven that’s slammed it’s claw in a coffin lid.
Doors open at 7pm with the Stagefright show starting at 8pm. Admission is £6 in advance or £8 on the door.
