Ashrow Theatre Company is back at Derby’s Guildhall Theatre this week for the second part of its double bill there.
After performances of The The Importance of Being Earnest last month, now you can see Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice, from October 7-11.
The production features a professional cast and crew almost entirely from Derby and the East Midlands.
Local actor and producer Rowan Scarborough has once again teamed up with Guy Evans, who will direct both shows.
The Merchant of Venice tells Shakespeare’s tale of the money-lender, Shylock. His terms: if his loan cannot be honoured, it must be repaid with a pound of flesh.
This is a dramatic account of love, loyalty and honour in Venice. Tickets are available from www.derbylive.co.uk or through the Derby LIVE box office on 01332 255800.
Tickets are priced at £15.25, with concessions and family tickets available.
