There’s a bumper line-up of music entertainment at The Loft in Matlock this weekend.
Appearing there on Saturday, January 24, will be Jersey Budd (pictured), with support from Copenhagen, Josh Vallance and Steve Wood.
After the huge success of having established acts such as John Power and Proud Mary take to the stage there, The Loft now brings Jersey Budd to Matlock.
Seb Makemson of IndieWirks, who are helping arrange the gig said: “Having established artists and bands wanting to come and play to crowds in Matlock is what we and The Loft have been working towards and 2015 will be no different. Jersey Budd will kickstart what is going to be a great year for live music in this area.”
Jersey Budd is a Leicester-born singer/songwriter. His debut album Wonderlands was acclaimed by Q Magazine as “…rollicking bar room rock and roll in thrall to Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen..”
Jersey has toured extensively across the UK and Europe headlining his own shows and supporting artists including Kasabian, The Enemy, John Martyn, James Morrison, and Turin Brakes.
Copenhagen are one of the hottest bands to come out of Hull during the last decade while Josh Vallance is the latest on the conveyor belt of talent to come from Wirksworth. Having only learnt to play guitar two years ago, Josh has gone on to become a very confident singer-songwriter.
A firm favourite with the crowds of Matlock, Steve Wood can be found gigging throughout the year. A very popular covers artist, this gig gives him a chance to show his talents singing the very songs he’s written.
Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are available on the door at £5.
