The Colin McIntyre Classic Thriller Season is to be performed at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal over the next four weeks.
August in Nottingham just wouldn’t be the same without the Theatre Royal’s Colin McIntyre Classic Thriller Season, a month-long repertory season now celebrating its 25th consecutive year. .
Karen Henson, co-producer of the Classic Thriller Season, said: “As a company we have thoroughly enjoyed performing 25 years of classic thrillers and we’re still going as strong as ever...this year’s season promises to be one of the best yet.
“We’re delighted to return with some new faces, some familiar ones and some from that very first Thriller Season in 1988. The audiences are always so warm at the Theatre Royal we’ve come to look upon them as friends. Although we can’t promise to buy everyone a drink to celebrate the 25th anniversary, we’re still paying off the bar bill from last year, we can promise four weeks of murder, mystery and mayhem – and that’s just back stage!”
The season starts with Murder Live!, by Mary Elliott Nelson, which can be seen from July 29-August 3. In a secluded house on a small island off the Cornish coast, a group of strangers meet for the first time; cut off from the outside world.
