The pantomime season is still in full swing and so the timing is perfect for Tansley Players, who are joining the party this week.

Their production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs can be seen in Tansley Village Hall tonight (Thursday, January 29), tomorrow (Friday, January 30) and on Saturday, January 31.

Performances on each night will start at 7.30pm.

This is the second time that Snow White has been performed by The Players in their long tradition of pantomime production.

This time the show is being directed by Jackie Pearson and stars Chloe Arbury as Snow White, with Jo Wilmot as the Prince, April Saunders as the Wicked Stepmother together with father and daughter combo Chris and Charlotte Gale assisting as her reluctant henchmen.

There is a full supporting cast of servants and dwarfs of varying sizes.

Once again, the accomplished musical direction is by Bill Templeman. Don’t miss it! … Oh no you can’t.

Tickets are going fast so to book your seat please telephone Bev Oates on 01629 582154. Tickets cost £6 for adults and £3 for children.

n A new year of craft fairs has launched at Bakewell’s Brigade Hall.

The hall can be accessed by walking through the gardens in the town centre and bargain-hunters should follow the signs which will be in place on event days.

Hundreds of crafts and gifts will be on sale, offering scope for people who are looking for special presents or who just want to treat themselves. Bakewell Craft & Gift Fair is held every weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am until 4.30pm. The fair will also be held at the town’s Medway Centre on April 18 to 21.
