TV talent in a funny night out

A HOST of TV talent is set to tickle Derby Theatre audiences’ funny bones with a cheeky tale about a philandering greengrocer.

Award-winning comedy Funny Peculiar will play at Derby Theatre from April 16-21.

The story of Trevor Tinsley, a married small-town grocer who is led astray into the arms of his neighbour’s wife and into domestic trouble, features some well-known TV faces including Derby Theatre regular, Derbyshire-born actor Steven Blakeley – best known for playing PC Geoff Younger in Heartbeat - a role which earned him a nomination at the 2006 National Television Awards.

Joining Steven will be Corrie star Vicky Entwistle, best known as feisty Janice Battersby, Suzanne Shaw, from ITV’s Emmerdale and Dancing on Ice, and and Gemma Bissix, two-time British Soap Awards’ winner for her role in Hollyoaks.

Funny Peculiar is recommended only for those aged 16-plus as it contains some strong language, full

frontal nudity and adult humour. It is not suitable for children.

Tickets, from £8 to £24, are available from the box office on 01332 593939.
