Weaving a magical tale

This Christmas, Derby Theatre, in association with Birmingham Stage Company, will be presenting a stage version of EB White’s classic tale Charlotte’s Web.

Derby Theatre will uphold the city’s tradition for presenting first-class Christmas shows for the whole family, when a web of enchantment will be cast over the young and young at heart this festive season, from December 7-January 12.

The production presents one of the most popular children’s stories of all time, a much-loved story and a timeless classic.

Derby Theatre will present Charlotte’s Web in association with the highly acclaimed Birmingham Stage Company, creators of the phenomenally popular stage shows, Horrible Histories, George’s Marvellous Medicine and James and the Giant Peach.

Join them for the story of a young girl called Fern who befriends Wilbur, a pig. Wilbur is no ordinary pig and needs to be saved from becoming Christmas dinner. To the rescue comes a witty spider called Charlotte, who conjures up a miraculous plan which they hope will keep him alive.

Though small in stature, Charlotte‘s big heart leads Wilbur to understand and accept his place in the world.

Charlotte’s Web is a story of loyalty and friendship woven with beauty and enchantment and which is as full of strength and as delicately magical as Charlotte’s web itself.

Will Charlotte and Fern be able to save the ‘terrific’ and ‘radiant’ Wilbur? Bring the whole family and find out at Derby Theatre this December.

Family tickets are from £36 and school tickets from £8.50 each for Derby Theatre’s big Christmas production.
