COMEDIAN Seymour Mace finds it hard to walk down the street without being recognised, thanks to his slew of appearances on telly.

His credits include Dave’s One Night Stand, The Weird World of Russell Brand, Clive Anderson’s Chat Room and a regular performance on the Johnny Vegas sitcom Ideal, playing ill-fated twins.

Seymour’s Edinburgh Festival show Squeg garnered rave reviews including four stars from the hugely influential comedy website Chortle.

He became £10,000 richer after scooping the Cup A Soup Comedy Challenge to add to victories including City Life Comedian of the Year and Best Breakthrough Act at the North West Comedy Awards.

Specialising in extremely tall tales, Seymour prides himself as the High Priest of the twisted one-liner.

Prepare for the onslaught when Seymour tops the bill at the Stagefright Comedy Club at The Fishpond, Matlock Bath, on Wednesday, December 12.

This Christmas special features gag masters Jonathan Pelham, runner-up in both So You Think You’re Funny and the Chortle Student Comedy Awards, Kai Humphries who supported Rhod Gilbert on tour, Eddie French who was Comedy Cellar Best Yorkshire Act runner-up last year, and club founder and MC Anthony J. Brown.
