A TOTAL of 11 gardens in Tissington are to popen on Sunday, August 7, in aid of the village’s St Mary’s Church.

They are to open on Sunday between 12noon and 4pm. Ranging from the large ten-acre garden of the Hall itself to small cottage gardens. Entrance to all 11 gardens is by ticket, costing £5 per family (of two adults and two children) or £2 per adult on the day from either The Old Coach House Tearooms or the Hall gate.

Sir Richard FitzHerbert, owner of the 17th Century Tissington Hall said: “I’m thrilled that we have so many villagers wanting to open their gardens for a good cause, namely our small village Church. All of the gardens have something special to show and, of course, visitors can meet the owners as well.”
