A headteacher at a Chesterfield school says he is ‘proud’ of students’ achievements after they celebrated their A-level results today.

Outwood Academy Newbold recorded another ‘strong set’ of results after a difficult year of school closures and predicted results amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Principal Steve Roberts praised students for coping with ‘something that no one predicted at the start of the academic year’.

"Whilst this year has been tough for them I believe they will all be stronger for it in the future and I know they will go on to great things,” Mr Roberts said.
